Shift:

6:00am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday (overtime based upon prodiction needs)

Manual Lead Wire Assembly Operator III Job Summary:

  • Use the insulation trim machine to trim the insulation off each of the four lead wires
  • Manually confirm the terminal bushing on the red and white lead wires are in the correct position. Refer to the visual standard
  • Using terminal crimping machine, install terminals in the red and white lead wires
  • Manually confirm the terminal bushing on the two black lead wires are in the correct position. Refer to the visual standard
  • Using terminal crimping machine, install terminals on the two black lead wires
  • Install the connector over the terminals. Install two lead wires at a time first the white and red lead wires, then the two black lead wires. Refer to the visual standard.
  • Place suspect or scrap material in proper NG Chute
  • Repeat

Key Skills:

  • Ability to coordinate hands to position parts and push foot pedal to activate crimping machine at same time
  • Capability to handle small parts, positioning lead wires in precise position prior to termination
  • Having extremely steady hands and calm disposition
  • Ability to keep hands steady while machine makes sharp noise when activated
  • Preferred - experience with using sewing machine or similar machine requiring hand and foot coordination
