Summary

Buckle is seeking experienced and talented individuals who desire to take their skills to the next level. As an Assistant in Training (AIT) and Assistant Manager, you will work directly with the Store Manager and Leadership Team to develop sales, recruit new Teammates, and provide leadership. You will also share responsibility for training and motivating Teammates and act as the Store Manager in their absence.

Pay Range: $16 - $18/hr

Sales Generation and Guest Service
  • Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude, and consistently provide legendary service.
  • Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
  • Recommend, select, and help locate merchandise based on Guest needs.
  • Anticipate and fulfill Guest’s needs by suggesting additional items.
  • Demonstrate product utilizing product knowledge and sales education.
  • Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices.
  • Achieve personal sales-per-hour and total net sales goals set by Store Management.
  • Provide legendary service throughout the store in key areas: Front 5, sales floor, fitting rooms, and the register area.
Teammate Recruiting, Training, and Development
  • Recognize recruiting opportunities and coach new Teammates.
  • Assist in leading, directing, motivating, and educating new Teammates.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and create a positive floor culture.
  • Participate in daily setup, training, and performance tracking.
  • Motivate Teammates to complete daily tasks set by Store Management.
Operations
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Understand and utilize planner including completion of Opening and Closing Checklists.
  • Follow all Loss Prevention guidelines and security procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and shoppable store.
Supervisory and Leadership
  • Comfortable in giving and receiving feedback.
  • Supportive of Leadership and promote team growth.
  • Execute daily interviews as needed to support Team Development.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related retail experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The Teammate is occasionally required to sit. Physical ability to lift and maneuver 30lbs throughout the store and backroom.
