You will serve as a member of the product team, collaborating with the Product Owner, design lead, and technology lead to ensure that the product delivers data in a manner consistent with the quality and safety requirements of the business.

As a Vice President Data Owner - Card Customer Journey in our Card Data & Analytics team, you will play a crucial role in promoting our firm's innovation agenda. Your work will involve ensuring the quality and protection of data, which is key to our business objectives, advanced analytics, operations, and reporting. This role provides you with the opportunity to be accountable for all data in the Card Customer Journey product, enabling you to make a significant impact on our business.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Create plans for the development and delivery of product data to support strategic business objectives, business operations, advanced analytics, and metrics and reporting.
  2. Work with key partners to drive an understanding of the data and its use within the business. Provide subject matter expertise with respect to the content and use of data in the product and associated business area.
  3. Identify the scope of critical data within their product, ensuring that the prioritized data is well-documented as to its meaning and purpose, and classified accordingly with metadata to enable its understanding and control.
  4. Support the aligned Data & Analytics lead for their product by identifying data required to be integrated into analytics platforms to support analytics projects.
  5. Document requirements for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data within the product, and coordinate resources to deliver data quality requirements.
  6. Influence resources to resolve identified data issues in a timely manner.
  7. Develop processes and procedures to identify, monitor, and mitigate data risks for data in the product, including risks related to data protection, data retention and destruction, data storage, data use, and data quality.
  8. Manage the execution of tasks to comply with Firmwide policies, standards, and procedures related to the integrity and protection of data in the product.
  9. Develop strong relationships with product data delivery partners and data consumers, including leaders in the Business, Technology, Analytics, Operations, Risk and Control functions.
  10. Manage the execution of a set of milestones. Understand and mitigate risks, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies in the product development lifecycle with respect to data.
  11. Track and manage work streams and associated KPIs to ensure deliveries are successful.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  1. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and relationship management experience.
  2. Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to senior audience and across organizational boundaries.
  3. Experience with data consumption, data analysis & analytics use cases.
  4. Experience managing delivery across multiple work streams with varying timelines.
  5. Understanding of Agile technological development methodology.
  6. Demonstrated ability to manage delivery timelines, and ensure our product and organization is on track to meet our goals.
  7. Proven ability to execute via internal partnerships.
  8. Bachelor’s degree required.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  1. Master’s degree preferred.
  2. Experience with Data Use Council (DUC).
  3. Experience working within a Credit Card organization.
  4. Experience and/or knowledge of the JPMorgan Chase data ecosystem.
  5. Experience and/or knowledge of AWS Cloud technologies and Snowflake.
  6. Technical knowledge of data management and governance, big data platforms, or data architecture.
