Our client is a dynamic, high-growth start-up based in Downtown Denver. They are in need of a dedicated Senior Revenue Accountant to support their continued growth and ensure accurate revenue accounting. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in aligning with the company's evolving needs and driving their success forward.
Role Overview:
As a Senior Revenue Accountant, you will be integral to the month-end close process and oversee non-energy-related revenue streams. You will review revenue flows, document processes, and ensure accurate revenue recognition. Your work will involve deep dives into existing processes, close collaboration with various teams, and building new documentation and systems to support the company's growth. This role will help segment the revenue team by stream to identify and resolve issues earlier in the month.

Senior Revenue Accountant Responsibilities:
- Month-End Close: Lead and oversee the month-end close process for non-energy revenue streams.
- Revenue Flow Review: Map out complete revenue flows, identify gaps, and ensure accurate revenue recognition.
- Process Improvement: Assess and enhance current processes, ensuring clear and consistent documentation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to understand different revenue streams, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely financial reporting.
- Public Company Focus: Assist in transitioning to a public company-oriented revenue process, maintaining compliance.
- Segmentation & Monitoring: Segment the revenue team by stream for better tracking and earlier issue identification.
- Data Analysis: Handle large datasets using advanced Excel functions to support decision-making and reporting.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Deep understanding of revenue and cost of goods sold in complex, multi-stream environments.
- Proven track record of reviewing, improving, and documenting processes in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel Skills: Proficient in XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and handling large volumes of transactions.
- NetSuite experience is a huge plus.
- Experience with ASC606 is highly preferred.
