Description

EHS Specialist:

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures to create a safe work environment.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Lead incident investigations and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Provide training programs to educate employees on safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and report on environmental impacts, including air emissions, waste management, and chemical usage.
  • Manage and oversee safety programs such as hazard communication, PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Maintain accurate EHS documentation and ensure timely submission of required regulatory reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvements in safety and environmental practices.
  • Stay updated on changes in safety regulations and best practices, ensuring the company adapts accordingly.

Profile

EHS Specialist:

  • B.S. in EHS/Science or something related
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • 3+ years of experience in EHS management, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to identify hazards and develop effective solutions.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to conduct training and influence safety.
  • Experience with incident investigations and creating corrective actions to prevent future risks.
  • Proven ability to manage safety programs such as hazard communication, PPE, and emergency response.
  • Proficiency in EHS reporting systems and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Collaborative mindset to work effectively with different departments and drive safety initiatives.
  • Ability to stay current with evolving regulations and integrate best practices into the workplace.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, capable of handling multiple projects and compliance audits efficiently.
