Business Development Director
We're seeking a Business Development Director in the Greater Los Angeles area to drive strategic growth for an employee-owned general contractor.
Our client has built lasting relationships with owners, developers, architects and industry partners, resulting in a strong portfolio of negotiated and repeat work across Southern California. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside executive leadership and operations to expand key client relationships and help secure the projects that define the company's future.
You'll develop and strengthen relationships with owners, developers, architects, brokers and industry partners while identifying new opportunities, leading pursuit strategies, collaborating on proposals and interviews and partnering with operations and preconstruction teams to secure new work across multiple commercial market sectors.
Desired Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience, preferably with a Top ENR General Contractor.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Executive presence with the ability to influence clients, facilitate high-level conversations and represent the company throughout the business development process.
- Strong commercial judgment with experience evaluating opportunities, shaping pursuit strategy and supporting winning proposals and interviews.
- A respected relationship builder recognized for credibility, professionalism and consistently delivering results.
Competitive compensation package of $200,000-$300,000, plus performance-based bonus potential, long-term incentive opportunities, generous PTO, executive leadership exposure and outstanding long-term career growth.
Greater Los Angeles continues to generate opportunities across commercial interiors, healthcare, life sciences, education, mixed-use, entertainment and technology-related construction. As owners engage builders earlier in the development process, contractors with strong client relationships and strategic business development leadership remain best positioned to secure negotiated work and long-term partnerships.
This organization gives Business Development Directors the opportunity to help shape regional growth, strengthen relationships with some of Southern California's most influential clients and play a visible role in the company's continued expansion within one of the nation's most competitive construction markets.
