A well-regarded healthcare institution in the heart of the Bronx, New York, seeks a dedicated ED Nurse Educator to join its esteemed nursing team.
This 1,000-bed Level 2 Trauma Center is a vibrant hospital known for its commitment to advanced healthcare, innovative treatments, and a supportive, collaborative work environment. Annually, nearly 120,000 patients are treated by NYC’s best Trauma and ED MDs and the brightest Residents and Fellows in the field. The ED is state-of-the-art, with separate Behavioral Health and Pediatric departments. The Emergency Services Department is a designated regional hub, heart care, and stroke care center.
This Emergency Department Nurse Educator role is integral to the hospital's mission of delivering exceptional patient-centered care and maintaining high standards of nursing excellence. As ED Nurse Educator, you will lead in planning, coordinating, providing, and evaluating educational experiences for nursing staff, ensuring they are equipped to deliver top-quality care and remain at the forefront of nursing practice.
With the support of a Nurse Director of Professional Practice, the ED RN Educator will support a dynamic and highly capable crew of experienced ED RNs, many with their CEN and or TNCC. You will be part of the leadership team, which includes an ED Nurse Director, Emergency Room Nurse Managers, and ED RN supervisors. Along with Staff Nurses, you will guide the Nurse Preceptors within the Emergency Services Department and work with fellow Nurse Educators during hospital orientation and in-service programs. Your voice will be heard as you align, create, and implement best practice standards and evidence-based care for staff and patients.
