Strategic Advisers is looking for a Portfolio Engineer to join our Greenwood Village, CO office. The team is responsible for portfolio construction and trading of Fidelity s retail and workplace managed accounts.u202F We employ investment expertise, quantitative techniques, and technology to scale our investment processes across both taxable and tax qualified portfolios with a mix of single and multi-asset class strategies, investing in a range of securities, including stocks, bonds, ETFs, mutual funds, and separately managed accounts.u00A0

Primary Responsibilitiesu00A0

You will be part of a dynamic group, tasked with developing innovative ways to manage client portfolios at scale. You will work collaboratively within the Systematic Portfolio Engineering team, including mentoring junior team members, to analyze large data sets of portfolio holdings, identify trading opportunities, configure our optimization platform inputs for desired trades, and evaluate portfolio quality.u202F You will monitor portfolio characteristics, understand factor and risk model exposures, perform cross-sectional and time-series analysis to improve investment outcomes, and build processes to facilitate ongoing oversight across millions of data points.u202F You will represent the team in projects with our technology group, providing prototypes, requirements, and business context.u00A0

Experience and Educationu00A0

  • Bachelor s degree requiredu00A0

  • Graduate degrees in Finance, Economics, Mathematics preferredu00A0

  • 6+ years of meaningful experience in an investment role requiredu00A0

Skills and Knowledgeu00A0

  • Knowledge of modern portfolio theory, quantitative portfolio construction methods and tax-sensitive managementu00A0

  • Experience managing multi asset class investment strategiesu00A0

  • CFA or CFP designation preferredu00A0

  • Experience in tax management strategies preferredu00A0

  • Experience with SQL and Java preferredu00A0

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Spotfire a plusu00A0

  • Experience with optimization software such as Northfield, Axioma, or Barra a plusu00A0
