An acute care hospital located in scenic Southwestern Colorado is now searching for an Inpatient Respiratory Therapist to join their award-winning facility. 

This 20+ bed, short-term, critical access hospital is part of a community-owned, fully integrated health system that aims to address all aspects of patient health. This facility is a Level IV Trauma Center and provides a variety of services including Emergency, General surgery, Orthopedic, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, and more. With innovative technology and advanced equipment, this hospital is equipped to meet the demands of any patient. 

Working alongside a wide range of providers and professionals, the Inpatient Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for:

  • Administering respiratory treatments and monitoring patients' respiratory status and response to treatments, adjusting care plans as needed.
  • Educating patients and their families about respiratory conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Adhering to regulatory and accreditation standards related to respiratory care.

The ideal Inpatient Respiratory Therapist candidate will meet the following requriements:

  • Graduate from an approved school for Respiratory Care
  • RRT Certification
  • 2 or more years of acute respiratory care medicine experience (general floor care, emergent medical and trauma stabilization/treatment, newborn stabilization, cardiopulmonary diagnostics, and pulmonary and cardiac rehabilitation preferred)
