Sentara Norfolk General Hospital located in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring a RN for the Burn Trauma, -Intermediate Care - Medical/Surgical -Unit - - -Sign on bonus up to $20,000 available for qualified candidates. -Relocation can be provided -Position is Full Time Night Shift.New Grad RNs are Welcome to ApplyBurn Trauma is a 34-bed mixed Intermediate care and medical/surgical unit. - - There are 17 beds for stepdown/intermediate level of care. - The patient population is neurosurgery, trauma, burns and orthopedic trauma. The intermediate care patients are received from both the Burn Trauma ICU and the Neurosurgical ICU. -Also, there are 17 beds for Medical/Surgical level of care for neurosurgical, trauma, burns, orthopedic trauma, and bariatric weight loss (gastric bypass and gastric sleeves). -Our nurses are trained to work both the intermediate and the medical surgical side. - - The nurse to patient ratio for the Intermediate Care beds are 3 to 4 and for the Medical/Surgical beds are 5 to 6. The Registered Nurse will work in a collaborative role as part of a team to maintain and support the standards of nursing care and practice, to meet the health care needs of patients, their families, and the community.As a -Registered Nurse -with Sentara, you can excel in your career.   • BSN or MSN preferred
