Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough and ongoing assessments of clients to identify their specific mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Maintaining clear and effective communication with supervisors, support staff, family members, and other stakeholders regarding client progress and any necessary interventions.
  • Coordinating appointments and home visits to perform in-depth observations, conducting chart reviews, and gathering comprehensive data for effective care planning.
  • Ensuring all aspects of the treatment program are implemented accurately and effectively, participating actively in multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Documenting client progress through detailed monthly and quarterly notes, which include follow-up interviews and assessments to ensure continuous support.
  • Acting as a liaison between clients, their families, and the broader mental health community to facilitate necessary resources and support essential for achieving development goals.
  • Developing and organizing training for staff to ensure they are equipped to implement program plans and adhere to documentation protocols.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a varied clientele, including adults and youth from diverse backgrounds, facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use issues. Your role will require you to provide compassionate and individualized care, helping clients navigate their mental health journeys while contributing positively to their overall wellbeing.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Current and unrestricted licensure as a Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) within the state of Maryland.
  • A minimum of two years of professional experience in a counseling context, demonstrating the ability to address a spectrum of mental health needs.
  • A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with a diverse clientele.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and related technology.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse counseling, or trauma-informed care will be especially desirable. Such expertise will enhance your ability to cater to our varied client population effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers an attractive salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload preferences. Benefits include:
