Peterson Brustad, Inc. We are seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist to join our team in the Folsom, CA office.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage new municipal and agricultural water well projects including well siting, estimating water quality and well yields, site exploration, well design, construction management, aquifer test analysis, and provide recommended well capacities and pump setting depths.
  2. Lead and develop aquifer well field studies for potable water production and monitor well design and installation, rehabilitation, and operational strategies that optimize water supplies.
  3. Serve as an extension of the Water Supply and Hydrogeology Community of Practice and collaborate to support team building, mentoring, and skill development.
  4. Support the use of numerical modeling for wetland assessments, basin studies, and wellfield management.
  5. Support integrated water supply assessments and alternative water supply planning and implementation efforts.
  6. Support scenario planning and implementation projects for integrated surface and groundwater management programs.
  7. Support climate change resilience planning and implementation efforts.
  8. Support wastewater outfall closure programs, mine effluent management, and carbon sequestration efforts.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelors or Master's Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology or related field.
  2. Professional Geologist licensure in CA required.
  3. 15+ years' experience.
  4. Established relationships with CA Regional Water Quality Control Board.
  5. Experience in use of MODFLOW and MODPATH.
  6. Hydrogeologic experience in northern California groundwater basins.
