Job Summary and Qualifications

*  This is a Full Time Day shift position, Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm *

As an Infection Control RN, you will assist with the coordination of all aspects of the facility infection prevention and control program.  The RN is directly involved with activities directed toward prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections.  You will serve as an infection prevention and control consultant for facility staff, patients, and the community.  Strong communication skills are required as you will Interact with physicians, outside agencies, corporate/divisional staff as well as all departments within the facility.  The position will require rounding on units, speaking with staff, providers, and providing education.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Current RN license in the State of TX or compact license
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing, Associate's degree required, BSN required within 24 months of hire
  • Minimum of 3 years current clinical experience in an acute care hospital
  • 1-2 years experience in Infection Prevention and Control preferred
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written
  • Strong computer skills
