An international automotive parts manufacturer by the New Carlisle, OH area is currently searching for an Accountant to handle their cost accounting needs.

This is a full-time and direct hire position with day shift hours. Must be able to work in the office Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

Perform various accounting tasks related to cost analysis and control
Accurately calculate material costs and conduct physical inventory checks
Contribute to budgeting and long-term planning efforts for material costs
Manage and track engineering costs
Maintain a perpetual inventory system to ensure accurate inventory records
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for cost accounting purposes
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to cost accounting
Support other accounting and finance functions as assigned by the supervisor

Cost Accountant Qualifications:

A four-year degree in Accounting or related work experience including cost accounting or financial analysis
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Excel and Access is a must
Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities
This position includes a manufacturing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
