The Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for coordinating safety and quality functions and assisting the Quality Supervisor in making sure that the warehouse is in compliance with safety and quality policies and principles. This position is expected to uphold and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site-specific policies, safety and work rules, and OSHA/MSDS Standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Maintains compliance to international, industry and customer-specific quality standards.
2. Helps lead and individually performs as needed, the analysis of product/service issues to determine root causes.
3. Communicates change control processes to all departments.
4. Assist with the coordination of internal and external auditing plus maintaining the internal quality audit system.
5. Assists in implementation and monitoring of the company quality systems including, but not limited to, compliance with the following standards: ISO 9001:2008.
6. Assists in establishment, implementation and evaluation of quality management system metrics.
7. Provides guidance and support for customer service and quality departments assisting with problem solving and improvement opportunities.
8. Develops and conducts training on the quality system and other related topics.
9. Oversees document control; updating, creating and publishing controlled documents including sending change notifications to affected parties/departments and follows up on the Quality Management System.
10. Develops and implements administrative systems including record management, traceability, and trend reporting.
11. Responsible for maintaining the Document Control Center, Data and Records of the Quality System.
12. Update visual aids, process instructions, quality procedures, corrective and preventive actions, client documentations.
13. Generate and update control charts as well as Quality QOS.
14. Review and validation of all controlled documentation used and displayed throughout the plant against QIS.
15. Work closely with Supervisor to develop improvements to employee’s performance as well as the service provided to all other departments.
16. Perform plant tours to detect any activity not in compliance within the quality.
17. Keep under clean and organized conditions, the workstation and/or area.
18. Availability to develop any new activity or project assigned.
19. Ensure Weekly Triggers files are sent to the Suppliers on a timely basis.
20. Manage the excess/slow moving inventory and seek for disposition.
21. Maintain Vendor/Parts profile updates in the system.
22. Prepare all paperwork and backup data for return shipments.
23. Ensure customer responses are made within customer service objectives.
24. Responsible for several reports and monitor compliance.
25. Coordinate cycle counts as required for Sync Report Analysis.
26. Setup and maintain all vendor, contact, and part profile information.

OTHER DUTIES

Performs other duties as assigned. Work overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience:

• Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Ability to handle basic statistical control methods.
• Must have previous Inventory experience.
• Current or previous experience with Quality Management System.

Other:

Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months can range from mild to moderate.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

Computer Skills:

Must possess excellent computer skills, not limited to MS Office, Windows, or Visio.

Language Skills:

Mathematical Skills: Basic to intermediate level.

Other:

Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance. Must be able to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment. Previous experience working with Internal Audits, Document Control, and Corrective Action plans.
