Avera St. Luke's Hospital is looking for a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our Team

Position Highlights:

* Student Loan Repayment: This position may be eligible for Avera's Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps you pay off your loans and save money. Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster.

Job Summary

* The Medical Laboratory Technician performs a variety of clinical laboratory tests, procedures and related duties.
* Utilizes scientific principles as well as technical, procedural, and problem-solving aptitudes for day-to-day laboratory technical operations, quality control, quality assurance, procedure/instrument maintenance and corrective action, test result correlation, and clinical laboratory related continuing education.

Education and/or Experience

* Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited two-year college program or technical school.
* Six months to one year of related experience or training is preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

* Certification as Medical Laboratory Technician from the ASCP, AMT, or equivalent is required within 12 months of hire.

Work Schedule

* Day/Evening Shifts; 48 hours every 2 weeks

* Every 3rd weekend
* ​​​​​​​Every 3rd holiday

Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

* $22.00 - $31.75 per hour
