Job Summary

The Medical Laboratory Technician performs various clinical laboratory tests, procedures, and related duties. Utilizing scientific principles and technical expertise, you will be responsible for day-to-day laboratory operations, quality control, quality assurance, procedure/instrument maintenance, and corrective action.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing a variety of clinical laboratory tests and procedures
  • Utilizing scientific principles and technical expertise to maintain laboratory operations
  • Ensuring quality control and quality assurance measures are in place
  • Maintaining equipment and instruments according to manufacturer's instructions
  • Correlating test results and identifying areas for improvement
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited two-year college program or technical school
  • 6-12 months of related experience or training preferred
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician from ASCP, AMT, or equivalent within 12 months of hire

Salary

The hourly rate for this position is $22-$31.75 per hour, dependent on experience. This translates to an estimated annual salary of $45,840 - $66,000 based on a 40-hour workweek and 52 weeks of work per year.
