The chief operating officer does not have the authority to practice law, give legal advice, or set strategy on a per-case/per-client basis - their focus is to coordinate efforts of marketing, sales, team, facility, technology, and finances to make strategic, profitable decisions that set the stage for extraordinary client work by the legal team.

●     Lead recruitment, hiring, onboarding, performance feedback, evaluations, and general human resources operations, including payroll and benefits

●     Ensure that the firm’s business policies and procedures are fully documented in writing, organized, deployed, and audited

●     Oversee operations informed by monthly financial reporting provided by the bookkeeping team and ongoing tax planning/preparation guidance from the CPAs.

●     Employ best practices and awareness of legal compliance to properly resource and effectively manage in-person, remote, hybrid, W2, and 1099 team members.

●     Ensure the digital plant is fully functional and secure, at all times, for entire team

●     Respond to ongoing risk assessments to ensure firm properly mitigates exposure
