Senior Estimator

Ruppert is a commercial construction company combined as a privately and employee owned specialty contractor. Responsibilities: 

  • Manage estimating workflow to provide complete proposals before bid deadlines
  • Manage estimating team and prioritizing bid deadlines 
  • Develop a partnership with the internal Operations Team 
  • Foster and maintain relationships with Landscape Architects, Vendors, Sub-contractors, and Clientele 
  • Assist customers with technical information and pricing during pre-construction
  • Review plans and specifications to determine our scope of work and the most effective production methods
  • Define scopes of work for various trades and distribute subcontract bid packages
  • Review each subcontractor’s scope of work and negotiate final bid prices
  • Recommend preferred subcontractors on each job to internal team members
  • Solicit written quotes for hard materials and site furnishings
  • Submit plant lists to Purchaser to be sourced and priced
  • Continually update estimating software database and factors
  • Complete plan take-off and enter bid information into estimating software
  • Calculate total direct cost estimates for each bid
  • Assign or propose profit margins based on current pricing guidelines
  • Prepare a Bid Summary for each estimate
  • Develop value engineering alternatives
  • Estimate change orders

 Qualifications: 

  • Extensive understanding of landscape installation or construction methods
  • Basic knowledge of plant material and best horticultural practices
  • Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
  • Ability to build strong relationships with subcontractors and customers
  • Ability to project a professional image and a positive attitude in all situations
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Estimating Software Program
  • Extensive understanding of business math, accounting, and financial reporting

Estimador Senior

 

Responsabilidades: 

  • Administre el flujo de trabajo de estimación para proporcionar propuestas completas antes de los plazos de licitación
  • Administrar el equipo de estimación y priorizar los plazos de las licitaciones
  • Desarrollar una asociación con el equipo de operaciones internas
  • Fomentar y mantener relaciones con arquitectos paisajistas, proveedores, subcontratistas y clientes
  • Ayudar a los clientes con información técnica y precios durante la etapa previa a la construcción
  • Revisar los planes y especificaciones para determinar nuestro alcance de trabajo y los métodos de producción más efectivos
  • Definir alcances de trabajo para varios oficios y distribuir paquetes de ofertas de subcontratación
  • Revisar el alcance del trabajo de cada subcontratista y negociar los precios de oferta finales
  • Recomendar subcontratistas preferidos en cada trabajo a los miembros del equipo interno
  • Solicitar cotizaciones por escrito para materiales sólidos y mobiliario del sitio
  • Presentar listas de plantas al comprador para obtener y cotizar
  • Actualizar continuamente la base de datos y los factores del software de estimación
  • Complete el plan de comienzo e ingrese la información de la oferta en el software de estimación
  • Calcular estimaciones de costos directos totales para cada oferta
  • Asignar o proponer márgenes de ganancia basados en las pautas de precios actuales
  •  Preparar un resumen de oferta para cada presupuesto
  • Desarrollar alternativas de ingeniería de valor
  • Estimar órdenes de cambio

 

Calificaciones: 

  • Comprensión amplia de la instalación del paisaje o los métodos de construcción
  • Conocimiento básico de material vegetal y mejores prácticas hortícolas
  • Habilidad para leer y comprender planos y especificaciones
  • Habilidad para establecer relaciones sólidas con subcontratistas y clientes
  • Habilidad para proyectar una imagen profesional y una actitud positiva en todas las situaciones
  • Buenas habilidades en comunicación oral y escrita
  • Fuertes habilidades organizativas y de gestión del tiempo.
  • Dominio de Word, Excel, Outlook y programa de software de estimación
  • Amplia comprensión de las matemáticas comerciales, la contabilidad y los informes financieros
