Job Description

The Director of Human Resources will oversee all HR initiatives, systems and strategies ensuring that the Company’s HR programs are legally compliant, effective, efficient, and aligned to our company culture and strategic business objectives. This professional will lead an HR team dedicated to providing support and services for Nautique Boat Company.

This is a full time onsite role located at our facility in East Orlando.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.
  2. Collaborates with Company President and senior leadership to develop and execute key initiatives to support the company’s strategic plan.
  3. Serves as a Culture Ambassador promoting and reinforcing the Company’s core values of people, performance, and philanthropy.
  4. Fosters collaborative relationships with production managers and supervisors to promote cooperation and employee engagement.
  5. Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes and workflows based on industry best practices.
  6. Effectively communicates and disseminates HR messages and Company information across multiple platforms.
  7. Manages workforce planning; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
  8. Supports Company reporting requirements and conducts research and analysis of organizational trends delivering accurate and relevant metrics on the Company’s workforce.
  9. Monitors employment legislation; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance; and advises management on any actions needed for compliance with upcoming regulatory changes.
  10. Oversees HR support to affiliate company Aktion Parks.

Required Skills/Abilities

  1. Excellent writing skills for creation of workplace policies, employee communications, and HR initiatives.
  2. Strong leadership and communication skills; excels in team building.
  3. Thorough knowledge of HR practices and employment-related laws and regulations.
  4. Ability to juggle and manage competing tasks and demands and deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
  5. Exhibits an attention to detail, good organizational skills, and business acumen.
  6. Ability to make sound judgements and take the initiative to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and make decisions/choices within the functional area of responsibility with minimal direct supervision.
  7. Familiarity with HRIS platforms for payroll, benefits and recruiting.

Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is required; Master’s degree is preferred.
  2. 5-7 years of HR management experience is required.
  3. HRCI/SHRM certification preferred.
