Job Description:

Traffic Coordinator  

Shift: Sunday-Thursday 7am-3:30pm

What You’ll Do  

• Assign route for Ace Fleet Drivers  

• Maintain Daily/Weekly reports  

• Interact with Ace Retailers providing information and services  

• Serve as point of contact for the Drivers  

• Print shipping manifests for each route that departs the RSC.  Strong attention to detail to ensure all paperwork is complaint with the DOT requirements.

• Manage spreadsheets with freight descriptions and counts then distribute to carriers.

• Field driver calls and respond accordingly

• Work closely with the shipping department to ensure trucks meet departure times

• Work with freight forwards to send shipping documents so freight can be transported over water and clear customs.

What you need to succeed: 

• Be a safety champion by promoting a safe and productive workplace through your own actions, including the proper use of PPE, safe operation of powered equipment and safe lifting techniques as determined by the role. 

• Be an active participant in contributing to a successful safety culture in the facility. 

• High School Diploma or equivalent  

• Excellent computer skills.  Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required. Experience with AS400, WMS, and SAP preferred. 

• Customer service experience. 

• Excellent phone skills including professional phone presence.  

• Excellent writing ability   

• Expert problem solving skills, with ability to interact with customers and follow through quickly with problem resolution

• Ability to work in warehouse/office environment. 

• Flexibility to work earlier or later to complete daily tasks. 

• Self-starter who is motivated and works well independently with little supervision
