Job Description Longview Regional Medical Center has an opening for a RN full time nights in our Free Standing Emergency Department We provide exceptional care for our patients and are looking for caring and knowledgeable team members to join us. What We Offer: * Competitive compensation * Student Loan Repayment Program * Paid time off plans for vacations, holidays and illness * Health insurance, including coverage for medical, dental, vision and prescription drugs * 401(k) retirement plan * Life and disability insurance * Flexible spending accounts * Opportunities for career advancement * Numerous Employee Recognition Programs * Education Assistance Job Duties: * Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care * Assists physicians during examinations and procedures * Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse * Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills * Relies on experience and judgment to perform a variety of tasks and accomplish goals Minimum Requirements: * Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program * Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire * Approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire * ACLS and PALS certification required within 90 days of hire; ENCP and TNCC certifications are required within 6 months with facility program.
