Shift: Monday- Friday Variable Hours (occasionally weekend for PTO coverage)

The role you’ll contribute:

Under general supervision, performs a variety of technical procedures in the utilization of radionuclides for Nuclear Medicine (NM) studies and ionizing radiation for CT studies for the diagnosis and treatment of disease in humans. Performs a variety of responsibilities that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative. Delivers quality care to patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

  • Utilizes two patient identifiers to confirm patient/exam accuracy before continuing with patient examination. Reviews and ensures physician requests meets clinically valid exam indicator requirements.
  • Ensures equipment has met all quality control requirements and, working with a minimum of supervision, performs patient examination utilizing age-specific care techniques in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Evaluates image quality to ensure good technical and diagnostic detail.
  • Presents completed exam and any patient historical data to radiologist/cardiologist for review. Assists with image manipulation or additional imaging as requested.
  • Assists patient with dressing, answering any questions the patient may have regarding their exam and expectations of results, and releases patient with directions to exit the hospital if needed.
  • Performs a wide range of Nuclear Medicine and CT procedures demonstrating proficiency with camera acquisition, scanners, injectors and computer processing in assigned area.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Current valid Florida state license as:
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist and Computed Tomography,
  • OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist and General Radiographer
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB),
  • OR ARRT - N through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • ARRT – CT through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Associate degree or higher in health-science-related field (Preferred)
  • PET-CT experience (Preferred)
