This not-for-profit system comprises multiple acute care hospital locations and hundreds of outpatient care locations throughout the south Florida region.
Reporting to the Medical Physics Director and Chief Physicist, the Photon Therapy Medical Physicist will ensure the safe and effective delivery of photon-based radiation treatments to patients. Other responsibilities include developing and implementing treatment plans, performing dosimetry calculations, conducting quality assurance tests on radiation therapy equipment, is involved in the calibration and maintenance of radiation therapy equipment, ensures compliance with all relevant safety regulations, and collaborates closely with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and other healthcare professionals.
What’s Needed to Succeed:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Medical Physics
- Licensed and certified as a Therapeutic Radiological Physicist
- Prior working experience is a plus
