Position Overview


Evolve Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to join the Litigation Department of a highly regarded law firm. The ideal candidate will provide dedicated administrative support to attorneys specializing in employment law and litigation. This role involves handling a variety of legal administrative tasks, from electronic court filings to maintaining case files and managing attorney schedules, ensuring seamless support across client matters.

Key Responsibilities

As a Legal Administrative Assistant, you will:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys specializing in employment law and litigation.
  • Handle electronic filing (e-filing) and service of court documents in state and federal courts in Maryland, D.C., and Virginia.
  • Maintain attorney calendars, deadlines, litigation dates, and reminders.
  • Type and proofread legal documents, including pleadings and correspondence.
  • Manage and organize case files, ensuring that all relevant documents, including discovery, are properly filed and accessible.
  • Coordinate with clients, court personnel, and other parties involved in litigation.
  • Maintain digital and physical files.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, depositions, hearings, and other appointments.
  • Provide general administrative support to attorneys as needed.


Qualifications & Skills

The ideal Legal Administrative Assistant candidate will have:

  • A minimum of five years of administrative support experience in a litigation or employment law practice.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, and court rules related to litigation.
  • Experience e-filing pleadings in state and federal courts in Maryland, D.C., and Virginia.
  • Strong adaptability to changing priorities and demands.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including confidence and skill in client interactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word, with familiarity in document management software (experience with i-Manage is a plus).
  • Typing proficiency and attention to detail.
  • Availability to work in the office at least four days per week.
