Sr Program Manager - Automation, Global Engineering Services Sustainability and Automation

The Global Engineering Services Sustainability and Automation team is seeking a dynamic, organized self-starter to lead ongoing development initiatives for Amazon’s award-winning Collision Avoidance Program and integration of autonomously guided vehicles for the growing fleet of Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) and related technologies for the world-wide Fulfillment Center network.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Manage the long-term roadmap of feature development and bug fixes.
  2. Facilitate the integration of new autonomous vehicle products into the Amazon PIT safety ecosystem.
  3. Lead the Amazon response to quality issues and incidents.
  4. Manage vendor relationships, drive performance improvements, and short/long term goals.
  5. Rapidly engage and understand complex technical systems, providing sharp root cause analysis to issue resolution.
  6. Create and drive initiative updates to Senior Leadership, planning, and execution teams.
  7. Inputs and support on better Project Management tools and processes.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. 5+ years of program or project management experience.
  2. Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  3. Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
  4. Bachelor's degree.
  5. 2+ years of driving process improvements experience.
  6. Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
