The Opportunity

What might a day in the life of an associate principal look like? That largely depends on the talents a candidate brings to the table. You will work on both new construction and renovations and will generally manage the day-to-day of your own projects individually and/or as a team leader. When we develop our annual company and individual goals for Siegel Structural Engineers, we work hard to establish the strengths of the team and the individuals and create pathways for growth.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, articulate individual with the desire to join our team, grow our business, both in diversity of project types, sizes, and materials, and develop new relationships with innovative architects, builders, homeowners and developers.

We are eager to build out our Senior Team to ensure that our growing junior team has the technical resources, mentoring, and project management required to develop exceptional engineers.

Our desired candidate:

  • Has a BSCE+ and is licensed as a Structural Engineer
  • Demonstrates excellent technical knowledge, familiar with RISA, Enercalc, Blue Beam and REVIT
  • Has strong project management skills
  • Is a quick, intuitive thinker and learner
  • Is organized and proactive
  • Works well with others and independently
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Enjoys mentoring and providing guidance to junior team members
  • Has an engaging manner with clients and colleagues

Your responsibilities will consist of all aspects of project work, including:

  • Performing structural analysis and design
  • Producing REVIT models
  • Participating in site inspections and investigations
  • Mentoring younger staff
  • Engaging directly with clients through all project phases
