Job Summary

* The Radiology Technologist is accountable for coordinating and performing a variety of diagnostic procedures in general radiology.

* Training and performing Cathlab duties as part of your radiology duties (share roles).

* Perform a variety of non-contrast CT procedures and perform them on weekends and evening when possible to minimize CT callbacks.

* Oversees radiology office operations in the absence of clerical staff.

* Participates in the instruction, supervision, and evaluation of students and other staff.

* Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer's status. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.


Education and/or Experience

* Technical Degree in Radiologic Technology is required, or a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and in good standing with the accrediting board.

* Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent specialty.


* BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.

* 6 months to 1 year of experience required, 1-2 years' experience preferred.


Work Schedule

* Varied Shifts; 72 hours 2 weeks

* 8 or 9-hour days

* Starting times vary depending on shift rotation and call schedule

* Occasional weekend (Weekend call rotation - approximately 1 every 5)

* Occasional holiday (Holiday call rotation - approximately 1 every 5)

* Occasional call time (Call rotation - approximately 1 every 5)


Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. The actual hourly rate is dependent upon experience.

* $25.00 - $37.75 per hour
