Job DescriptionReporting Location: Allentown, PA - West Bldg.
Starting Pay: $44.00 / hour (based on experience)
Shift differential paid for applicable hours worked
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:00 am - 3:00 pm
Ability to work other shifts based on the business needs is required
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform daily visual checks on key utility components within the facility
Work closely with maintenance personnel to understand the general health of the facility machines
Monitor safety components and perform safety checks on boiler and area
Check alarms on each compressor to assess future risk
Perform maintenance and overall operations of cooling towers
Monitor the mechanical effectiveness of the water skids
Continually monitor ammonia chillers for warnings, water flow, and any other concern and ensure proper documentation and heath of room
Check the main HMI screen, logs, and controls for the entire area
Perform quality checks via water samples to ensure proper chemical balance (sampling water from all water loops), flagging any anomalies
Monitor the environmental impact of each of the key utilities
Respond to key mechanical failures falling under the umbrella of “Utilities and Facilities”
Completes PM03 (mechanical failure work-orders) as needed
Maintenance and oversight of facility HVAC system (production, LAN room, front office, quality lab, and auxiliary A/C units)
Maintenance of key safety systems and plant shutdown/startup during plant blackout periods (i.e. Holidays)
Involved with planned shutdown events at the factory
Manages landscaping/external maintenance of the facility and compliance of key utilities within the facility
Maintain relationships and negotiate contracts with contractors for facility (ex: HVAC maintenance, landscaping, snow removal), including the bidding process
Requirements
Must have knowledge of the following: Industrial/Facility Compressors, Boilers, DA Tank, Steam Systems, Ammonia Chillers, SAP systems, Facility Utilities, Basic Mechanical Skills (wiring motors, pulling/rebuilding pumps) and understanding of Industrial HVAC systems
Electrical Certification
Must successfully pass and clear the Ramsey test
Boiler Certification
Organized and able to ensure documentation of all key utility systems is maintained
Ability to prioritize key priorities daily
Ability to work and communicate effectively with key stakeholders and team members
Able to respond appropriately to facility escalations (24/7)
