Wheelchair Transport Driver - Job Description

The purpose of the Wheelchair Transport Driver is to help provide the best ride and service to our customers. Full-time hours are guaranteed. Overtime available but not guaranteed. Various shifts available.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Transport clients to and from medical appointments/facilities/hospitals via wheelchair or stretcher
  • Frequent pushing of people and equipment of 100+ pounds
  • Safely operate company vans
Job Qualifications:
  • Must be a safe driver, with a clean driving record
  • Must be able to speak, write, and comprehend English
  • One (1) year full-time customer service-oriented experience preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Commercial driving experience preferred but not required
  • Driver's license for a minimum of 5 years
  • Must be a friendly, courteous, and compassionate team player with a positive attitude
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to safely lift clients weighing more than 250 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to pass level 2 background check through AHCA
Licenses and/or Certifications:
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification (or obtain prior to hire)
  • All required certifications must remain current and active
  • Valid Florida driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • DOT physical

Pay:

$15.00 - $16.00 per hour depending on experience, not including per trip incentives.
