Daily Responsibilities

Manage product planning and execution through day-to-day collaboration and decision making with a cross-functional team including architects, engineers, and business or subject matter experts.

  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog to align with business priority and technology strategy by articulating the business challenges as technical user stories.
  • Build and evangelize product roadmaps broadly to various levels of leadership.
  • Drive technical solution for large features/technically complex features independently.
  • Create functional and technical specifications to ensure engineering team has needed information on requirements and definition of done.
  • Define product performance and effectiveness metrics that measure and benchmark product success and adoption.
  • Help resolve technical blocking issues and coordinates solutions across multiple technical teams.
  • Identify technical tradeoffs, escalates risks, and manages mitigation in collaboration with neighbor teams.
  • Communicate effectively with technology and business teams independently.
  • Act as a coach/mentor to team on various technical product manager competencies

Technology requirements?:

  • Expertise in working with enterprise analytics tools, in particular Tableau, Power BI, and Alteryx

Degree or certifications required?:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field

Years experience?:

  • 5+ years of industry experience in a technology environment with a record of successfully delivering complex products.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in developing technical roadmaps, story outlines, writing user stories, refining product backlogs and coordinating/prioritizing conflicting requirements in a fast-paced, agile delivery environment
  • 3+ years’ experience working as a Product Owner in Data & Analytics domain delivering cloud native or adjacent platform and visualization capabilities at enterprise scale.

  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated application of all facets of systems development lifecycle and technology operations.
  • Strong knowledge of agile development practices, methodologies and tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, ability to quickly master new systems and/or processes, capacity to stay organized while managing competing priorities.
  • Results oriented leader who leverages data to define and justify product decisions.
  • Able to work with ambiguity, act proactively, and is receptive to input from other team members and managers.
  • Background of owning processes and skillsets
  • Must be able to drive and support the prioritization

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with big data architectures, usage patterns and performance challenges on any of the public clouds – AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • Experience with/ knowledge of SQL, Spark, Python.
  • Experience in SaaS application configuration management and rollout.
