As the Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of nurses in a specific unit or department. * Provide leadership and direction to nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
* Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, promoting professional development and ensuring adherence to clinical best practices.
* Oversee the daily operations of the unit, including staffing, scheduling, and resource management, to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
* Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety protocols.
* Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and deliver high-quality patient care.
* Assist in the development and management of the unit's budget, ensuring the effective use of resources while maintaining high standards of care.
* Maintain open and effective communication with staff, patients, families, and other healthcare providers, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
* Address and resolve issues related to patient care, staff performance, and operational challenges in a timely and effective manner.
* Stay updated with the latest nursing practices and healthcare trends, and lead efforts to integrate new knowledge and techniques into the unit's practice.

Candidate requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is required; Master's degree in Nursing is preferred.
* Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
* BLS and ACLS certifications are required; additional specialty certifications may be preferred depending on the unit.
