Medical Assistant

*Responsibilities:*
* Room patients, collect and enter medical history, medications, and chief complaints into EHR.
* Prepare patient charts by gathering prior medical records, office notes, radiology reports, and health history.
* Assist providers in preparing patients for examinations and procedures, including wound care and orthopedic brace fittings.
* Coordinate surgical scheduling and ensure all necessary clearances, radiology images, and authorizations are obtained.
* Manage physician referrals, including sending and receiving health information and updating patient records accordingly.
*Qualifications:*
* Minimum of 1 year of clinical medical experience.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional travel between locations.
* Proficiency in medical terminology, medical insurance requirements (including workers' compensation), and basic computer skills.
* Knowledge and adherence to HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality.
