Job Summary:

The Physician provides quality patient care in a clinical setting. The Physician also assists management in developing policies and procedures relating to patient needs.

Job Description: Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide quality treatment to all patients in a professional manner.

  • Participate in the teaching/training program(s).

  • Communicate with administrators and Physicians to facilitate practice operations.

  • Participate in team effort to guarantee efficient services to patients.

  • Conform to the ethical code of conduct of his/her professional organization, to the Wayne Health Corporate Compliance Program and all standards of the Code of Conduct, Code of Ethics, and to clinic policies and procedures.

  • Maintain a current professional license, professional liability insurance at limits required by Wayne Health Credentialing as applicable.

  • Attend meetings and training as requested including participation in mandatory annual Wayne Health training in such areas as: recipient rights, confidentiality, corporate compliance, prevention of violence and management of unsafe behaviors, and cultural competence.

  • Participate in professional development activities and keep current with healthcare trends and practices.

  • Obey confidentiality as required by all federal, state, regulatory and Wayne Health policies.

  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Education, Licensure/Certification, and Training:
  • Licensed M.D. or D.O. Board eligible.

Skills and Abilities:
  • High level of interpersonal skills, written and verbal, necessary to effectively communicate, establish, and maintain productive working relationships with people inside and outside the Department and/or Practice.

  • Excellent analytical ability necessary to independently identify and resolve extremely complex and unusual problems or discrepancies.

  • Clinical knowledge to meet the medical requirements relating to various procedures.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patients, personnel, and/or financial data.

  • Excellent organizational skills to work independently, prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and manage time.

  • Patient management skills necessary to provide quality care.

Safety Requirements:
  • Compliance with Department Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Working Conditions/Schedule:
  • 40-hour work week, hours and days to be determined by the business need of the department. Additional hours may be required.
