New York NY United States RudderStack Inc. Full time

RudderStack, the Warehouse Native CDP, is the only customer data platform built from the ground up for data teams. We help you turn customer data into a competitive advantage. With RudderStack, you can eliminate expensive data wrangling to focus on work that drives revenue. RudderStack collects behavioral data across the entire customer journey, unifies it in your warehouse with other customer data to produce comprehensive customer profiles, and makes a customer 360 available for downstream activation in real time. Its flexible architecture provides ultimate optionality, allowing you to get more from your existing warehouse investment and eliminating lock-in so you can scale with agility. Using RudderStack, you can deliver powerful customer experiences on a solid data foundation.

About the role

The Senior Product Manager for the Activate product group at RudderStack will manage the components of our platform that enable users to send data to downstream business tools, SaaS platforms, and APIs. This portfolio includes integrations (cloud, audience/list, API, webhook) as well as our various user flows for syncing warehouse data (tables, models, audiences). This role involves building deep relationships with customers to understand their problems, owning the roadmap and execution of the product group as a whole, with the goal of creating a streamlined experience for getting both event stream and warehouse data into downstream systems where it is used and put to work by the data team’s internal stakeholders. This includes a strong vision for the integration experience as a whole. Additionally, it is critical that these product experiences are deeply integrated into other parts of the RudderStack platform, including data collection, cataloging, governance, and the customer 360.

RudderStack is a remote company, though we do have one office in the eastern US. This role needs to be in EST, but can be a remote role. If there is a desire to relocate to the East Coast Office, we will cover expenses.

What you'll do

  • Own the roadmap and execution for the Activate product group, including specific integrations libraries (cloud, audience/list, webhook, etc.) as well as various reverse ETL features.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to build a seamless, integrated data integration and activation experience.
  • Think creatively about how to more deeply integrate the Activate product group with other parts of the RudderStack platform.
  • Engage with customers to understand both their ultimate goals for solving identity resolution and building a customer 360, as well as their specific challenges with DIY projects and packaged SaaS platforms.
  • Lead the Activate product innovation, strategy, and execution to enhance the customer data platform experience.
  • Work closely with engineering and design teams across time zones to deliver high-quality products.
  • Own the enablement and launch inputs for every feature you ship (and the roadmap as a whole) in support of and in partnership with Product Marketing.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of directly applicable product management experience at either a B2B SaaS startup company or as the owner of an internal build. This specifically includes experience with a long-tail of integrations across various types of APIs in the context of sending and syncing data to business tools.
  • Experience owning a roadmap across multiple related products.
  • Experience working with teams across time zones, especially engineering teams, and shipping work using agile methodologies.
  • Deep technical knowledge, including the ability to understand and troubleshoot the product and have technical conversations with Engineering Managers.
  • Experience managing products and people at a successful startup company (Series C+).
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, specifically with regard to enablement and product launch materials.
  • Excellent customer-facing and research skills.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent writing skills (internal and customer facing).
  • Ability to think innovatively about the long-term future of the roadmap and translate that into near-term prioritization and projects.
