Role Overview:

Avsar Construction is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to bring expertise, innovation, and precision to our projects in the Los Angeles area. This role is ideal for a skilled engineer who thrives on hands-on design, construction administration, and collaborative problem-solving in the field of electrical engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed electrical design work, coordinating with in-house teams and external engineers.
  • Review construction drawings to ensure compliance with standards and electrical codes.
  • Provide construction administration support on active projects.
  • Prepare electrical project estimates and budgeting reports.
  • Develop and maintain Project Requirement Documents to facilitate project funding.
  • Assist design managers in defining project scope, especially for electrical elements.
  • Conduct on-site evaluations of as-built conditions and collaborate to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Coordinate new code requirements with the Inspection Department and consult mandated standards to update District design guides.
  • Support power upgrade projects by coordinating with engineers and approving designs.
  • Research and implement code updates in partnership with inspection teams.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience: Three (3) years full-time paid professional electrical design experience in a public agency, school construction or large capital commercial projects.
  • OR Valid California Professional Electrical Engineer (PE) license (or equivalent certification).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
