If you're looking to maximize your earning potential all while having more hands to share the workload- this position is for you -The new Mercy Hospital Fort Smith Dedicated Education Unit is an 18-bed unit focused on teaching eager and upcoming graduate nurses the fundamental skills necessary to be successful. We are looking to build a team of highly engaged nurses who have a passion for education, patient care, and best practices. This unit will care for Medical Telemetry patients with a 4:1 patient to nurse ratio (day shift only). Each nurse will act as a preceptor to two senior level nursing students who will take total care of the 4 patients. -A clinical rotation preceptor will also be available for support/oversight of the students.   • Bed numbers: 18 bedsNumber of Patient Ratio: 4:1 & 6:1Patient Population: tele and med/surgThis unit will become an educational unit with the opportunity to precept nursing studentsIncentives:
    • Education Pathway: LPN to RN
      • $10,000 in Assistance for LPN to RN
      • Up to $20,000 RN Loan Forgiveness
      • Tuition Reimbursement $2,000 per year
      • Relocation Assistance up to $3,000 per policy
      • Stay Premium Program- up to $8/hour based on years of Mercy service

      • New Increased Weekend Option Differential: $7.50 RN/$5.50 LPN -Qualifications:
        • Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure.
        • Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements
