Children’s Therapy Center is seeking an experienced Human Resources Partner to play a key role in supporting employees and advancing Children’s Therapy Center’s mission. As a member of the Human Resources Team, reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this position will lead essential HR processes, providing high-quality and efficient support to both current and prospective employees.
Our Human Resources Partner acts as the primary contact for employee benefits, manages leaves of absence and ensures smooth onboarding, employee development, and exit processes. This role will also support recruitment efforts, contribute to staff safety programs, and play an active role in employee development and compliance initiatives.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to CTC’s values of diversity, equity, and inclusion, with excellent interpersonal skills to foster and promote a positive workplace culture.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead staff education, enrollment and eligibility processes for CTC’s health and welfare benefit programs.
- Provide primary and administrative support for CTC’s Leave of Absence programs, in collaboration with state and federal programs and requirements.
- Partner to support the new hire onboarding process including hosting the benefits orientation and other sessions as needed, and collecting required paperwork and securely managing employee information.
- Provide recruitment support as needed by advertising opportunities, scheduling and conducting interviews, supporting hiring teams and conducting reference and background checks.
- Aid in the maintenance of policies, procedures, organizational charts and information ensuring that all information sources are up to date and accurate.
- Provide administrative support for continuing education benefits and play a lead role in employee professional development programs.
- Support employee relations issues, addressing concerns and working to resolve conflicts in line with organizational policies and labor laws.
- As a member of the Human Resources Team, track and analyze HR data, such as employee turnover and engagement to inform HR strategies and decision-making.
- Assist in maintaining legal, contract and safety compliance by tracking changes and updates in labor requirements, contract requirements, workplace safety, I-9 documentation and similar.
- Act as a support and information resource for the Human Resources department, employees, and external contacts; answering benefits-related inquiries and researching to resolve issues.
- Manage employee exit processes including scheduling and hosting exit interviews, providing education on COBRA and benefits continuation options; aid in collecting materials, equipment and required paperwork.
- Support CTC’s vision, mission, values and policies through role modeling and working to support a positive workplace culture.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and/or professional SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar Human Resources certification preferred.
- 2+ years related work in Human Resources.
- Proven history of providing exceptional service and support with both internal and external contacts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; strong Excel skills, with experience using SharePoint preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HR concepts, policies, procedures and employment law, and a working understanding of other legal compliance requirements.
- High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to convey thoughts and express ideas effectively using various oral, written, visual, and/or non-verbal skills.
- Effective listening skills, including the ability to recognize, comprehend and appreciate various perspectives and diverse points of view.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to organize work to meet various commitments and responsibilities.
- Ability to anticipate potential challenges and adjust to changes as needed.
- Collaborative and participatory; serves as an active member of the team, inviting diverse perspectives to support organizational priorities and common goals.

Additional Information
This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of three full days per week working onsite (Monday-Friday). Remote work may be available for up to two days per week, depending on Organizational needs. The primary office is located in Burien, Washington; however, the role involves regular travel between office locations in Burien, Kent, Maple Valley, and Tacoma, as well as throughout South King and Pierce County for meetings and events on occasion.
Compensation & Benefits:
Children’s Therapy Center offers equitable and competitive pay commensurate with job-related experience and education. The pay rate range for this position is $25.97-$42.55 per hour dependent on related experience and education.
Our comprehensive benefits package includes generous paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and continuing education benefits. Supplemental/premium insurance options are also available. Eligible employees can enroll in our retirement plan with their first paycheck and will be eligible for company contributions after their first year of employment.
