Position Overview

This role can be based in Denver, CO or Atlanta, GA.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Program Management Office (PMO) Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management and learn how a PMO operates within a fast-paced business environment. As a PMO Intern, you will assist the Program Management team in planning, executing, and monitoring various projects while developing key skills that are critical for project management success. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a passion for learning, and a keen interest in program and project management.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Support Project Management Activities:
    • Assist in the planning, execution, and tracking of project activities under the guidance of the PMO team.
    • Help to create project timelines, schedules, and milestones for ongoing projects.
  2. Documentation & Reporting:
    • Assist in maintaining accurate project documentation, such as meeting minutes, project plans, and status reports.
    • Support in generating reports and dashboards to provide stakeholders with project updates.
  3. Collaboration & Coordination:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project information, track progress, and ensure effective communication across departments.
    • Attend project meetings and support coordination efforts by scheduling, organizing, and tracking meeting outcomes.
  4. Process Improvement:
    • Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities within the PMO and project management workflows.
    • Provide insights on ways to enhance project management methodologies and contribute to streamlining processes.
  5. Administrative Support:
    • Provide general administrative support to the Program Management team, including organizing project files, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
    • Assist with the preparation of presentations, charts, and other project-related materials.
  6. Additional Duties:
    • Handle additional duties as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of project management principles is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong interest in program and project management.

Experience:

  • Rising Junior or Senior status.
  • Minimum GPA requirement - 3.0.
  • Previous Internship experience preferred but not required.

Skills:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira) is a plus.
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Travel required is expected to be less than 5%.

Additional Details

  • Hourly range $20-$25/ per hour.
  • It is estimated that the internship will run from June 2, 2025 to August 15, 2025.
