The opportunity

EY's Oracle Services practice assists our national consulting practices in planning, pursuing, delivering and managing large, complex full lifecycle application implementations along with providing experience in leading practices, methods, and resources in the Oracle’s applications and technology space. This group advises clients to understand, architect and implement the core applications and technology required to run their business.

As a Manager in Application Systems Engineering, you will be at the forefront of defining user and customer requirements, focusing on user interface development across diverse platforms. You'll play a pivotal role in engineering software components and services that ensure seamless communication within the system architecture.

Your key responsibilities
  1. Ensuring billability through chargeable work to external clients.
  2. Leading workstream delivery with strategic oversight.
  3. Managing project status and overseeing deliverable completion.
  4. Traveling as required by client engagements.
  5. Actively participating in client sessions and leading workstreams from planning to execution.
  6. Identifying additional service opportunities to drive sales.
  7. Leading specific RFP responses and managing engagement economics.
  8. Executing resource planning within budget constraints.
Skills and attributes for success
  1. Team with client technology professionals, and/or third-party strategic alliances to provide implementation of technology solutions.
  2. Demonstrate quality project execution and delivery by successfully monitoring project/program team economics, performance against the job arrangement and budget, and proactively adjust scope, timing, and resources as appropriate and if necessary.
  3. Architect technology solutions focusing on data flow, data migration and data integration to execute supply chain related processes across multi-vendor software / application landscape.
  4. Develop people by encouraging individuals to think for themselves and take responsibility for their contributions to the team. Delegate work successfully. Conduct timely performance reviews and provide performance feedback/training. Lead by example.
  5. Generate new business opportunities by thoroughly understanding EY and its service lines and actively assessing and presenting ways to apply knowledge and services.
  6. Develop long-term relationships and networks both internally and externally.
  7. Manage and supervise a team of technology professionals through all phases of the technology lifecycle, including requirements definition, architecture design, conversion and testing.
  8. Interact and communicate effectively with supply chain and technology senior and middle management executives.
  9. Agile development methodologies.
  10. Application integration and quality assurance.
  11. Proficiency in software development and technology business requirements analysis.
  12. Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
  13. Digital fluency and emotional agility.
To qualify for the role, you must have
  1. A 4-year bachelor's degree is required, with at least 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  2. 4 - 6 years relevant experience working with SCM / ERP application implementations system as a Technical Lead, Application Development Lead or Enterprise Application Integration lead, with at least 2 years spent in a managerial and IT/business integration role.
  3. 2-3 full cycle implementations of Oracle SCM Cloud and 3-4 Oracle EBS Applications implementation experience focusing on Order Management, Pricing, Inventory, Product Information Management, Procurement, and Manufacturing related modules.
  4. 2-3 years of hands-on experience with FBDI, OTBI, REST and SOAP.
  5. Proven track record in integration tools and technologies such as Oracle Integration Cloud, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi or any leading integration platform to architect, design and build integrations with Oracle Cloud Applications.
  6. Demonstrated use of Oracle methodologies such as OUM or AIM.
  7. Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating enterprise business processes with technology skills.
  8. Ability and comfort level researching client inquiries and emerging issues, including emerging technologies, SOA governance, and new technologies.
  9. The successful candidate must also be willing and able to travel 60-80% of a work schedule.
Ideally, you’ll also have
  1. Degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, MIS, Mathematics, or related field (MBA or MS degree preferred).
  2. Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
  3. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  4. A passion for continuous learning and professional growth.

What we offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $141,200 to $258,900. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $169,500 to $294,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.

In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.

Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
