Overview

Plains All American is a leading provider of energy infrastructure and logistics services in North America. We operate a network of pipelines, terminals, storage facilities, and processing plants that transport, store, and process crude oil, natural gas liquids, and refined products.

We are looking for a Senior Manager of Infrastructure & Cloud to join our Enterprise Technology team and lead our on-premises and cloud compute assets. This role will be based out of our Houston, TX headquarters and will have leadership responsibilities across North America.

As a Senior Manager of Infrastructure & Cloud, you will be responsible for managing the design, implementation, and operations of our infrastructure and cloud platforms. You will also play a key role in our ongoing cloud and network transformation, which aims to leverage cloud-native tools, automation, modernized governance, and finops to optimize our environment and deliver value to our business.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of infrastructure and cloud engineers and analysts, providing direction, coaching, and performance management.

  • In partnership with our Architecture function, develop and execute the infrastructure and cloud roadmap, aligning with the business objectives and the enterprise technology vision.

  • Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of our on-premises and cloud infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, security, and compliance.

  • Drive the adoption of cloud services and best practices, including migration, automation, optimization, governance, and finops.

  • Collaborate with other technology leaders and stakeholders to ensure alignment, integration, and interoperability of our infrastructure and cloud solutions.

  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements for our infrastructure and cloud providers and partners.

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators and service level objectives for our infrastructure and cloud operations.

  • Manage the infrastructure and cloud budget and forecast, optimizing costs and delivering value.

  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and innovations in the infrastructure and cloud domain and evaluate new technologies and solutions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in infrastructure and cloud management, preferably in the energy or related industry.

  • 5+ years of experience in leading and managing infrastructure and cloud teams.

  • Strong knowledge and experience in various infrastructure and cloud technologies, such as servers, storage, network, virtualization, backup, disaster recovery, security, AWS, Azure, etc.

  • Proven experience in leading and executing cloud transformation initiatives, including migration, automation, optimization, governance, and finops.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to think strategically, analytically, and creatively.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Certifications in infrastructure and cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, VMware, Cisco, etc. are preferred.

  • Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks

  • Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing.
