Essential Job Responsibilities for Government Banking Relationship Manager:
  1. Serves as primary contact with assigned prospective and current public sector clients.
  2. Identifies client needs and corresponding sales opportunities bank-wide and actively promotes ways to increase client utilization of bank products and services, capitalizing on the unique and comprehensive capabilities of the bank.
  3. Proficiently manage existing portfolio and stays informed of developing trends in the public sector market.
  4. Actively works with clients to understand each customer's normal account activity and provides consultative solutions on an ongoing basis.
  5. Maintains assigned annual goals for portfolio maintenance, portfolio growth, and new business development.
  6. Actively participates in government trade association meetings and conferences/trade shows.
  7. Coordinates Cash Management sales and implementation as part of a team.
  8. Is involved in proposal writing and coordination with internal departments.
  9. Participates in departmental projects as they arise.
  10. Ensures job duties are performed within established policies, controls, risk, and protocols.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  1. Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business or Finance.
  2. Experience with Government Banking or Public Sector industry.
  3. Successful and sustained sales and relationship management experience.
  4. Working knowledge of Cash Management services; CTP designation a plus.
  5. Well-developed written communication and verbal presentation skills.
  6. Advanced working knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point and Sales Force.
  7. Emotional Intelligence, diplomacy and strong people skills.
  8. Possess strong interpersonal character and integrity.
  9. Superior expertise in managing multiple tasks and attention to detail.
  10. Ability to work independently while being team-oriented.
  11. Excellent problem resolution and organizational skills.

The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000 USD to $200,000 USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
