No more waiting for direct deposit or a paper check Your Opportunity:Taylor Print Impressions, a division of Taylor Corporation, located in Byron, MN is looking for a Production Assembly and Support in our Finishing/Bindery Department The incumbent will be responsible for performing all finishing tasks involved in the production of our products. This is an entry-level position with great opportunity for growth within the companyYour Shift:
  • 3rd Shift: Monday - Friday 11pm - 7am plus additional overtime.Your Responsibilities:
    • Perform basic quality control checks including measuring, weighing, strength testing, package counts, and evaluating product or package appearance.
    • Fold and tapes boxes, applies labels, and stacks boxes on pallets according to direction.
    • Read job ticket to ensure that all required work is performed on each job
    • Set up and monitor manual kitting activities.
    • Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages
    • Pack finished products into correct packages and boxes specific to job orders
    • Examine finished products for quality assurance
    • Report defective materials or questionable quality issues to the department Supervisor or Lead
    • Place finished goods on the designated location
    • Maintain the work area, tools and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety rules and regulations.You Must Have:
      • Ability to read and interpret simple instructions, short correspondence, and job tickets, along with follow directions
      • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and other forms of simple mathematical skills
      • Use basic hand held tools such; rubber straps, plastic bags, plastic packaging clamshells, cardboard boxes, and tape dispensers
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work well independently and with a team
      • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the jobRequirements within this position:
        • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
        • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
        • Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
        • Frequently required to move inside the facility
        • Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)We Would Also Prefer:
          • Strong mechanical aptitude
          • High School diploma / equivalent or work-related experience
