Senior Art Director

Are you a professional graphic designer with a strong book? Love what you do? Unleaded is looking for an elite creative talent to join its Houston-based team as a Senior Art Director. The successful candidate will be a hands-on expert in visual design and will work closely with a team of designers, marketing, copywriters, developers and others to elevate client brands and marketing programs. As an individual contributor you will be responsible for bringing design solutions to life which adhere to marketing strategies and business goals. Creative problem-solving skills, pixel perfect precision, an appreciation for creative strategy and mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite are a must.

Our clients are doing big things, like optimizing global supply chains and working to help us all avoid the worst effects of climate change. One of the most important things we provide are the ideas that help them meet these objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Use your strong eye for aesthetics and visual details to ensure a quality final product
  • Learn and understand each client’s business, market and target audiences
  • Create a variety of brand driven channel executions for our clients
  • Collaborate on marketing campaign development
  • Execute development of sales and marketing assets aligned with client objectives
  • Collaborate, support and mentor other designers, providing feedback and guidance on design execution
  • Help with planning and art direction of photo and video shoots to ensure that the assets are on target with the needed assets, in alignment with the concept and in brand for the client.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years' experience in senior graphic design and/or art direction
  • Strong portfolio of work
  • Expert level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • High level of emotional intelligence
  • Experience with concept development and brainstorming (must be able to talk through your thought process with examples or sketches)
  • Solid communication skills: able to persuade and articulate the value of your ideas and how they support client objectives/strategy
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, advertising, communication, or other visual arts discipline
