Avera is looking for a Respiratory Therapist to join our Team

Job Summary

* The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for the assessment, treatment, and management, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions affecting the cardiopulmonary system for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults.

* The individual must demonstrate proficiency in all modalities of respiratory care, which may include, but not limited to oxygen therapy, breathing treatments, airway clearance, blood gases, airway management, non-invasive and invasive ventilator setup and monitoring.


Education and/or Experience

* Required

* Associates Degree

* With a certificate in Respiratory Care.


* Preferred Education

* Bachelors Degree

* With a certificate in Respiratory Care.


Licensure/Certification/Registration

* Required

* Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with the National Board of Respiratory Care.

* Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of Nebraska.

* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire.

* Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of hire.

* Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 6 months of hire.


* Preferred License/Certification

* Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with the National Board of Respiratory Care.


Work Schedule

* Varied Shifts; 72 hours every 2 weeks

* 3 rd to 4 th weekend rotation

* 1 to 3 holidays per year rotation

* General hours 6:00am-6:30pm

* On call 1-2 nights a week rotation


Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

* $26.25 - $39.50 per hour
