Position Summary:

As Production Planner you will play a leading role in our company’s positive culture by helping us create an effective organization as the automotive industry moves toward an electric future. The Production Planner is responsible for leading the daily operations associated with plant production control activities including: Parts Follow-Up, Plant Scheduling, Engineering Change Management, Inventory Records, and Shipping/Receiving. This role directly supports daily production, this individual acts as the centralized resource for Plant Production and Quality Operations, Procurement Operations, Corporate Logistics, Corporate Scheduling, and Engineering.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Understand production schedules and customer requirements, and new trial activity - then calculate required amounts of material.
  • Review current inventory in-house and PO’s for supplier orders
  • Schedule shipping plans for battery module shipments to customers
  • Work with Engineering, Quality, and Procurement on part availability
  • Assess overall capacity to develop recovery plans when delivery performance or quality falls below target
  • Address any issues with lead times, logistics, and deliveries
  • Perform other position related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Basic:

  • Minimum Age: 18 years old
  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • While travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international)
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required
  • Ability to build effective cross functional relationships internally and externally
  • Demonstrated technical problem-solving ability 
  • Strong understanding of the systems and procedures related to production control, supply chain or material handling
  • Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel

 

 

Preferred:

  • Bilingual English / Korean
  • Extensive knowledge in Data Analytics utilizing MS Excel, MS Access or other database applications
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation.
  • Critical thinking and an analytical mindset.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and effectiveness in accomplishing goal.

  • Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work around the potential exposure to dust and chemicals
  • Ability to wear appropriate PPE as deemed essential for the job function
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
