Hospital Risk Program Nurse Manager

Kingsburg CA United States Clinical Management Consultants Full time

An outstanding non-profit medical center in California’s Central Valley is actively interviewing for a Nurse Manager to oversee a complex Hospital Risk Management Program. Join this experienced leadership team in a challenging and exciting role that will help pave the road to outstanding performance for years to come.

This growing non-profit health care system is looking for a strong manager to promote and sustain an integral department. Serving in a role that’s equal parts administrator, educator, and leader, the Risk Program Manager will play a central role in the effective and efficient operations of this award winning and nationally recognized Hospital.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Quality, Risk, and Accreditation, the Risk Program Nurse Manager will develop, implement, and evaluate programs that address issues at the core of every acute care hospital environment; issues such as patient and staff safety, the collection and reporting of risk / quality data, ensuring that the organization is following proper compliance processes, and acting as one of the leads for TJC Survey proceedings and accreditations.

The Risk Program Nurse Manager will undertake a complex and integral role, and work with a wide array of healthcare professionals across the organization. This person will spearhead Risk Event and Incident Management, reporting metrics and data to the proper regulatory agencies. The Director will also play a large role in managing claims against the staff and physicians.

Other responsibilities that the Nurse Manager of Risk will take on are keeping track of legislative trends, following the impact they may have on healthcare. The ideal candidate has a background in hospital / healthcare Risk Management strategies, policies, and procedures. Though not required, Certification as a Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) is certainly preferred.

Just a short drive from two major centers of entertainment and the great expanses of the Central Valley, the Risk Program Nurse Manager will find something great for any mood. Driving east or west will put you right in the middle of the lights, sounds, and action of the big city. You can explore the cuisine, music, and fun waiting around every corner. If you prefer quiet evenings and gorgeous sunsets, you’ll find no place better than the Central Valley.

Supported by a progressive and experienced leadership team, the Nurse Manager of the Risk Program will serve the mission, vision, and values of this health system. You’ll work in a complex and challenging role, and you’ll be rewarded with a competitive compensation and generous benefits package.
