What we need:

The Director Cloud is a high-level leader that will be responsible for leading cloud strategy, architecture, and operations. The Director of Cloud will be responsible for managing cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-efficiency, while driving cloud innovation across the organization.

What you’ll do:

  1. Implement the overall strategy for comprehensive cloud strategy aligned with the company’s business goals and objectives.
  2. Plan for future growth and advancements, ensuring scalability and performance.
  3. Lead the assessment, selection, and adoption of cloud platforms, services, and technologies.
  4. Define and communicate the cloud vision, roadmap, and best practices across the organization.
  5. Oversee the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud architectures.
  6. Ensure cloud solutions are resilient, cost-effective, and meet compliance and regulatory requirements.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing systems and applications.
  8. Manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and reliability.
  9. Implement and monitor cloud security measures to protect data and applications from threats and vulnerabilities.
  10. Optimize cloud resources and costs through effective monitoring, governance, and capacity planning.
  11. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud computing.
  12. Drive innovation by identifying and evaluating new cloud solutions, tools, and methodologies.
  13. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance cloud efficiency, agility, and performance.
  14. Manage relationships with cloud service providers, vendors, and partners.
  15. Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and pricing agreements to ensure optimal value and performance.
  16. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their cloud needs and provide effective solutions.
  17. Perform other duties as needed.

What you have:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

10+ years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

5+ years of management experience.

What you’re good at:

  1. Proven experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  2. Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, and best practices.
  3. Ability to drive strategic initiatives and manage large-scale cloud projects.
  4. At least 5 years in cloud architecture and management roles a plus.
  5. Proficiency in cloud management tools and automation technologies.
  6. Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
  7. Developing proven team structure and processes that drive results.
  8. Solid understanding of broader organization context and goals.
  9. Able to delegate work effectively to team members; ensures tasks are completed without micromanaging.
  10. Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations while preserving relationships.
  11. Focused on and responsible for their team's productivity and collective impact.
  12. Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  13. Able to multitask, prioritize, delegate, and manage time effectively.
  14. High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential people data.
  15. High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.
