Description

Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG) in Bethesda, MD is seeking an IT Project Manager to manage a team of developers, engineers, consultants, and analysts supporting a Federal contract for the US Department of Education. As the Project Manager, you will serve as the federal client's main point of contact and provide supervision and guidance for the IT project staff.

Location: Remote within the United States

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

  1. Serve as the primary point of contact between the COR, SMEs, and Project Lead.
  2. Lead weekly progress meetings and facilitate review and approval process.
  3. Create, update, evaluate, and manage the project work including the operation of multiple simultaneous agile development teams.
  4. Ensure all deliverables are produced on time, budget and resources are efficiently managed, and the technology implementation is done successfully, as evidenced by key performance indicators.
  5. Oversee the development of project materials and the implementation of project events.
  6. Edit and submit monthly progress reports on activities conducted.
  7. Facilitate contract modification(s), as needed.
  8. Facilitate website launch and maintenance.
  9. Produce thorough analytics report, with full analysis and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  10. Manage the day-to-day workflow of the project, set priorities and delegate tasks.
  11. Manage client expectations and work to resolve client issues.
  12. Mentor and encourage staff to strive for excellence.
  13. Contribute to MSG business development, including identifying possible new businesses and participating in proposal development.
  14. Assist the business development team with proposal support when needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in business administration (MBA) or other business/economic/technical discipline.
  2. 10 + years of experience in the areas of Web Modernization, Change Management and Program Management in the Federal sector, with relevant examples of applying this expertise to the planning, execution, and control of web initiatives.
  3. Experience working for or with the US Department of Education or other civilian agencies like DOL or HHS.
  4. Ability to communicate with both business users and Information Technology staff at all levels.
  5. Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Exchange, Excel, and SharePoint.
  6. Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills.
  7. Strong organizational and task management skills.
  8. Ability to manage time effectively and work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  9. U.S. Citizenship required.

Required Certifications:

  1. PMP
  2. CCMP or other Accredited Change Management certification
  3. Scaled Agile Framework Agilist

Security Clearance: Current Public Trust or must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.
