Job Description:The Clinical Psychologist is a vital member of a multi-disciplinary team composed of psychiatrists, psychologists, nursing, and other disciplines to provide holistic or comprehensive medical and counseling services to patients. They interview patients and give diagnostic tests.   • Pay Range: $49.86 - $76.93 Exempt

  • Shift: 40 hours. 5-8 hour shifts, with possibility of 4-10 hour shifts.
  • Location: Primary Children's Hospital at Lehi
  • ScopeProvide care appropriate to the established plan of care in the assigned patient population.Job Essentials
    • Assesses the patient's medical history, mental health history, and current presentation to understand the patient's needs from treatment.
    • Diagnoses and treats various mental, emotional and behavioral disorders.
    • Develops a plan of care either individually or with input from the patient, patient family/significant others, physicians and other members of the healthcare team.
    • Provides treatment based on patient need and evidenced based interventions.
    • Refers patients to other services to improve their well-being. These referrals may include community services, treatment programs, support groups, and/or psychiatrists (or other mental health providers).
    • Properly documents pertinent information in regard to the patient's plan of care.
    • Works with the multi-disciplinary team to develop a discharge plan in order to provide further care, services, and referrals in order to ensure continuity of care.
    • Provides psychological testing as indicated by the patient condition.
    • Complies with federal, state, local and clinical program/facility standards.
    • Provides care and treatment within the scope of the Mental Health Practice Act.Minimum Qualifications
      • Doctorate degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D) in Psychology. Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
      • Current Utah license as a psychologist.
      • Psychologist will adhere to all appropriate standards of practice as outlined by the American Psychological Association, State Licensing Board, and Intermountain Healthcare.Preferred Qualifications
        • Experience in a behavioral health outpatient setting.Physical Requirements:
          • Ongoing need for employee to see and assess various nonverbal cues used in patient diagnosis/assessment in order to understand and develop treatment options.
